One of the time consuming issues in an editorial (layout) department is finding which photo's belong to an article. To prevent this, the picture upload in RedaFact is article based. As such, photo's are connected to the article throughout the system, saving search time.
Reporters and editors can upload and connect as many pictures to an article as they wish. They can rotate (e.g. to change from portrait to landscape) and crop a picture, insert a photo caption, and the photographer's name.
For free flowing text articles, height and width of the picture can be freely adjusted while indicating how many columns the picture width must span on the page. For PDF block articles cropping is of course proportional and defined in the template.
Optionally RedaFact can connect to external Photo management systems, from where the pictures are coupled to an article.
